The Sentinel App provides a comprehensive platform for accessing information on the Copernicus Sentinel satellites. It enables users to track the satellites in real-time, explore their key features, access current news, and delve deeper into their capabilities.

<li>They can track the satellite's past and upcoming passes over their location.</li>
<li>Users may adjust the satellite's position to the time of its last data transmission and smoothly return it to its present location on the 3D globe.</li>
<li>The app offers customizable notifications alerting users to impending satellite passes.</li>

The European Space Agency (ESA) is spearheading a series of cutting-edge Earth observation missions as part of the collaborative ESA/European Commission endeavor, Copernicus (formerly known as GMES - Global Monitoring for Environment and Security).
This initiative aims to replace existing and aging Earth observation missions like ERS and Envisat, which are either at or nearing the end of their operational lifespan. By doing so, it ensures a continuous stream of data to avoid interruptions in ongoing research.
Each mission within this program concentrates on various facets of Earth observation, such as Atmospheric, Oceanic, or Land monitoring, with its data expected to support a wide range of applications.
